An Abundance of Crap

Holy crap, look at this! I'm updating my blog!

I think I get too picky over what I put up (to the point I put up nothing) so I decided to just flip through my sketchbook and scan the stuff I didn't specifically abhor.

Over the last week or so I ended up drawing a whole lot of this bastard right here:

I've been attempting to put together some kind of character sheet (not the specifically animating kind, but whatevz) so I just tried drawing alot and seeing what came up. Some of it I actually quite like. And then there was just some random stuff I drew, some based on the novel I just finished writing and some on one of my gaming characters:

OH WHAT'S THAT IN THE CORNER*, MURRAY? OH SNAP.

*Guest appearance of Murray the Catboy from last year because I had extra space. It is not actually good art.

And more...

More photoshop/tablet fun. I was tempted to colour more thoroughly, but it felt like doing too solid of a job would take away from the energy. So I splashed this on.

It's of Shift (and by proxy, me) one of my LARP characters.

Because I will not be defeated. (Work damnit.)

AAAAAART. Of Hart, a Changeling character, because he is the bomb diggity.
My reaction to it snowing. (Damn it all.)

Animals and such!

Some stuff from school today.
Bird lady, just because I REALLY wanted to draw one while I was drawing my snake lady the other night. (Which I want to put pics up of when I get them back.)

And a scorpion, accurately saying "I peench".

Augh so tired.

Some sketches.
Carin Vardis, my D&D (Dragonlance) rogue.

One of my characters dressed like a pimp. Inexplicably inspired by watching a clip from Cats Don't Dance.
Sketch of myself that was originally going to be used for the banner until I changed my mind.

Already.

More stuff. Because I have plenty lying around.

A character going SH'ZAM because she has the power. Drawn for a birthday present, but I still rather like it.

A naked woman holding a baby, based on something a classmate apparently saw at a big music thing.

Then, just for kicks, the full version of the image I used in the banner. Coloured in PSP.

Just what you needed.

Another online art blog that will likely die from neglect.

That said- whoo! I have an art blog! Let's enjoy it while it lasts, shall we? Essentially I'm going to be trying to post things in here fairly often...remembering to not force myself to make a finished product. This means I will be posting a fair amount of crap here along with actual finished and (dare I say?) attractive works.

So far I was procrastinating on posting because I wanted to make a fancy banner first. Now that I have, I no longer have an excuse to not be doing this. I'm going to start on a good note and post an older piece...the first and only thing I've actually had as part of an actual gallery exhibit!

Behold! Drawn on paper, scanned, and coloured in Gimp or something.
